Molly's Route 66 Adventures: Day Nine

On my last day, I went exploring outside.

I felt very official in my Camp uniform!

There were lots of wildflowers and a huge tree!

I hope you enjoyed seeing pictures of my trip as much as I enjoyed taking it!

Molly's Route 66 Adventures: Day Eight

I got to watch an exciting video about Jasmine!

It was very fun.

Iago was very annoying, though... and the Genie really wasn't funny. I enjoyed the parts about Josefina's favorite princess!

Only one day left...

Molly's Route 66 Adventures: Day Seven

I rode a train at night on the seventh day!

I made a moth friend!

It was very dark outside, but I could still see trees.

What a fun trip!

Molly's Route 66 Adventures: Day Six

My sixth day was not as fun, I was just stuck in the car all day.

At least I was in my pajamas!

Plus, Mom had a bunch of little princess dolls for me to play with!

And, of course, I had Charlie, my teddy bear.

Molly's Route 66 Adventures: Day Five

You'll never guess where we went next: THE GRAND CANYON!

At first I was a little nervous.

It's so big! I'm so small!

But once I started to take pictures...

...I felt much more sure of my footing.

Look, Mom, no hands!

I still didn't want to get TOO close to the edge, though.

MyLittleMegara stayed right behind me so I wouldn't fall.

Boy, I didn't realize just how "grand" the Grand Canyon was!

I thought I could just sit there forever and look at everything.

The canyon has so many layers of depth!

"No, Molly, don't fall in!" Hee hee. Just kidding. :)

Even the sky seems deeper, somehow.

One last picture before we drive to another part of the canyon!

Cape Royal wasn't as exciting as Point Imperial.

There were a lot of trees, though!

Mom thinks this picture makes me look like a White Body, whatever that means.

It looked like a painting!

It was sunnier there.

I got a picture with my camera, too.

When I looked to the right, I saw a cliff with a little window in it!

Suddenly, I felt very brave so I walked up to the edge and took a picture of what was below me.

I loved the way the trees looked!

In honor of Samantha, I decided to climb one myself.

(This wasn't one at the bottom of the canyon, don't worry.)

Then MyLittleMegara wanted to get pictures of me on a big dead tree.

It reminded me of arms and hands, but not in a scary way.

We're about halfway through my trip now!

Key Moments With Kit: Summer Reading

Molly isn't the only one who had adventures this summer... I had one here at home.

A good book is the perfect way to experience an adventure when you can't go anywhere exciting.

Since the humans were on vacation and we dolls couldn't exactly go anywhere without breaking the Code of Dolls, I was very glad to have Bilbo's book.

I'd love to go to the Shire. It sounds so exciting!

I can't wait to find out what happens next. This book is very interesting and I honestly can't predict what'll happen next.

I don't think Ruthie would like it very much, though... no princesses or romance.

When I read the part about Gollum, I was so freaked out that I couldn't put the book down until Bilbo got out of the cave.

Any other Hobbit fans out there?

Kit Kittredge
